Foster-based dog rescue · Los Angeles County

Rescue is just the beginning.

We help dogs at risk of euthanasia get veterinary care, training and a home.

About the rescue

Foster with Friends of Anubis

Be their home
for now.

Give a dog a place to settle in while we look for their adoptive home.

Questions about fostering.

What does fostering cost?

We cover approved veterinary care and basic food and equipment, unless agreed otherwise before placement. We’ll confirm supplies, transport and costs before you commit.

How long does fostering last?

We’ll agree on an expected stay before you commit. You don’t have to adopt your foster dog. Tell us early if your plans change—arranging their next home can take time.

Can I foster with children or other pets?

Some dogs need adult-only or only-pet homes. We’ll discuss your household, the dog’s health and behavior history—including known bites—and introductions.

What support will I have?

You’ll have a rescue contact, a backup contact and a written care plan covering daily routines, veterinary care and emergencies before your dog arrives.
